Adam is a very friendly person, and I think he genuinely cares about his clients. Here are 3 positives and 2 negatives from my experience as a first-time homebuyer: Positives: 1. He knows the market well and helped me trim down the list of neighborhoods to focus on. 2. He negotiated the closing date back, which let me skip a month of mortgage payments. 3. He negotiated the sales price of the home down. Negatives: 1. For the home I’m closing on, he told me a rate was for a conventional loan with 20% down (which I was going with) — but I later learned it was actually an FHA loan rate. I only found this out the night we sent the commitment message to the builder. 2. I was informed about the PID after sending the earnest deposit. I feel like I should have known this much earlier in the process. Adam wasn’t able to attend the closing due to family issues, which I completely understand. Overall, he’s knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and a great person — just be sure as a first-time buyer to double-check the details along the way.
